Social Media Giveaway Opportunity Terms & Conditions

Terminology

  • The terms “giveaway” and “contest” are used interchangeably in reference to the opportunity to win a prize. By entering the competition you agree to be bound by all terms and conditions.

  • “Prize” refers to the item(s) or service(s) that entrants have a chance to win.

Terms & Conditions

  • All entries must be received by 11:59pm PST on date specified on the initial social media post and any clarifying posts that follow. This is strictly an opportunity to win a prize. One (1) winner in United States will be selected at random by Torrance Batting Cages (Parent company of Baseball Glove Repairs) within up to 7 days.

  • Only social media accounts set to “Public” will be eiligible to claim prize.

  • Winner has 48 hours to accept prize offer which may be presented through private message. The 48 hour window begins once the message has been sent to the participant, not once it has been opened. The message may be sent from any account owned by Torrance Batting Cages (@torrancecages or @baseballgloverepairs).

  • The Torrance Batting Cages competitions with entry via Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and/or Facebook are open only to residents of United States. One (1) winner will be chosen at random from all entrants of each giveaway opportunity unless otherwise specified.

  • No purchase necessary. Participants will not be required to pay to enter the competition. Winner may be required to arrange/pay for delivery and pick up for any items or free services awarded to an item (example: baseball glove relace). Transportation and/or lodging will not be provided.

  • Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.

  • Employees of the Torrance Batting Cages are not be eligible to claim prize.

  • TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.

  • Entrant must follow all steps exactly as outlined in the initial giveaway post, and any subsequent posts clarifying giveaway rules.

  • The Torrance Batting Cages will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable.

  • The Torrance Batting Cages will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Torrance Batting Cages takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Torrance Batting Cage’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the prize in question.

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Torrance Batting Cages shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

  • Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Torrance Batting Cages reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

  • The name, address, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Torrance Batting Cages if requested and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize.​

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Torrance Batting Cages reasonable control, the Torrance Batting Cages reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

  • The Torrance Batting Cages's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

  • The winner’s name and social media username may be posted on the social media profiles of Torrance Batting Cages controlled accounts including @torrancecages, @baseballgloverepairs, and @tbcgloverepairs and potentially additional affiliates.

  • Any prize or offer sent through private or direct message from the Torrance Batting Cages shall not be made public by the participant.

  • In certain cases, prize(s) or offer(s) may be awarded via graphic over private or direct message. These graphics may not be shared in any way. Sharing may be considered theft. Additionally, altering any graphic may be considered theft. Theft will be reported to the police and/or federal authorities and may result in serious legal action.

For Giveaway Opportunities that Require Entrants to Tag Accounts in the Comments

  • Entrants must only tag friends and family. If it's discovered that a participant is tagging accounts outside of their friends and family circle, they may face disqualification.

  • Entrants may not tag business accounts. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

  • 10 entries maximum per person. Exceeding 10 entries may result in disqualification. Disqualified individuals will not be notified of their disqualification. It is the entrant’s job to keep track of entries.

  • The Torrance Batting Cages does not condone any form of unwanted tagging, which may be labeled as harassment, spamming, etc. Entrants are required to follow all local and state laws, including terms and conditions of each social media platform.

  • Tagging any account(s) owned and/or operated the Torrance Batting Cages will not qualify as an entry.

  • Tagging any account more than once will only qualify as (1) entry, and may result in disqualification.

  • Tagging your own account from your own account will not qualify as an entry, and may result in disqualification.

  • If an individual tags an account that they own or operate at any capacity, as determined by the Torrance Batting Cages, the entry may voided and the entrant may be disqualified.

  • The Torrance Batting Cages reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that appears to be acting with deceptiveness, bad intent or similar behavior. The Torrance Batting Cages reserves the right to determine if any alleged behavior is eligible for disqualification.

Randomly Selected Winner

  • Prize(s) or offer(s) may be awarded to a randomly selected entrant who has followed all guidelines and procedures.

  • In some cases, entrants will be counted manually to the best ability of the Torrance Batting Cages staff. Torrance Batting Cages Staff will compile all entries into an excel document. A random number generator will be used to select one winner, unless otherwise noted.

  • In other cases, the Torrance Batting Cages may use a service or hire a third party to help randomly select a winner.

  • Any selected winner who is found to have displayed behavior that goes against these terms and conditions may be disqualified or ineligible. The Torrance Batting Cages is not required to notify a participant of disqualification if that have not yet been notified of any opportunity to claim a prize. A new winner may continue to be chosen until it is determined that the prize(s) or offer(s) can be awarded.

Ohtani & Decoy Bobblehead

  • Photo shown on our social media accounts is the general photo released by the Dodgers and not the actual photo of the item being awarded.

  • There are two versions of this bobblehead that were given out by the Dodgers. We cannot guarantee which of the two versions will be awarded to our (1) prize winner.
